Volunteers for Seniors
Albert Lexie gets up every day at five
in the morning and goes to work shining shoes. And every week,
he donates some of his proceeds to the Childrens Hospital
of Pittsburgh. You know much hes donated? Eighty-nine
thousand dollars. If a shoeshine man can make that kind of
difference, whats stopping the rest of us?

By volunteering to help seniors, CSAs will gain
a broader understanding of the issues older adults face -- and learn
more about the organizations available to help seniors and their
families.
- CSA CE credit hours: One hour of volunteer
work earns 1 hour of CSA CE credit.
- Reporting your volunteer hours: Members
must track the number of volunteer hours they work, including
dates, times, names of the organizations and individual contact
names. SCSA will randomly audit members volunteer records
every year.
